Our story begins in the narrow, winding alleys of Fes, the spiritual cradle of Moroccan craft. It was there, amidst the mosaic-covered fountains and ancient madrasas, that our patriarch the father of Maalam Mohamed first fell in love with the geometry of the soul.

In Fes, Zellige is not merely decoration; it is a language. Growing up in a family where the secrets of clay and natural pigments were passed down like sacred verses, Mohamed’s father mastered the art of the Manquach (the specialized hammer) before he had even reached adulthood.
